Efficacy of nebulized hyaluronic acid in the management of chronic periodontitis in adults

This clinical trial was published in 2017 in Journal of J Biol Regul Homeost Agents. (IF 2011:2.96) by Italian specialists. The purpose of this clinical trial is to evaluate the potential efficacy of nebulized hyaluronic acid in the management of chronic periodontitis in adults.

 

Results

The results of the statistical analysis demonstrate that there was a slight improvement in the measurement of pocket depth in the side treated with HA at time 0 (pre-treatment) and time 1 (15 days post-treatment). Furthermore, the difference between bleeding on probing as measured at time 0 and time 1 indicated an improvement on both sides, with a slightly greater improvement on the side treated with HA.
